The ABHIMANA Workers Union proudly hosted their inaugural Union Leaders Meeting alongside their mother Union, the National Union of Seafarers Sri Lanka (NUSS). Co-Chairs Bhoomi Harendran and Sakuni Mayadunna, convener Imasha Kumarawadu, and active participation from other unions, including lead members from The Union of the Post & Telecommunication Officers, Dabindu Collective, The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA), Protect Union, All Ceylon Telecom Services Union, The Ceylon Bank Employees Union, UNITE, Estates Workers Union, Ceylon Estate Staffs’ Union (CESU), and the National Union of Workers (Sri Lanka), contributed to the success of the event. Discussions centered on issues raised during provincial consultation meetings, yielding valuable insights for the further development of the ABHIMANA Workers Union.
